Let Parliament Work, an initiative of Indian citizens living abroad and in India, this movement originated on the Social Media. During the Winter Session, citizens realised that discussions on non-issues were being given importance over precious debate-hours on important bills.

There are 10 extremely important bills that are pending. For example, the not passing of the GST bill is costing the county approximately INR 20,000 to 40,000 crores per annum. This amount can be used for generating 100% jobs for Rural Youth.

The aware and likeminded community of “Let Parliament Work”, decided that enough was enough. So a coordinated nationwide peace march was organized on December 16th where cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Banglore, Jamnagar, Amravati, Lucknow, Mirzapur, Indore, Purnia, Ahmedabad and many more.

Citizens came out on the road all over India to request the politicians to stick to the agenda and not stall the parliament, as it cost Rs, 2.5 lakh per minute to run the parliament . In the past few sessions 2162 hours and INR 3243 crores has been wasted due to stalling and disruption. Other bills such as Real Estate Bill, Electricity Amendment Bill, Commercial Courts bill, Prevention of Corruption Bill, Whistle blowers Bill,  Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Bill, Bureau of Standards Bill, Negotiable Instruments Bill and Arbitration and Conciliation Bill that were pending in the Parliament are critical for economy of India.

India has been a citadel of democracy and our Parliament is the symbol of that democracy.   However, sadly the very instrument of democracy is subverted and the cherished goals of our nation are blocked for political gamesmanship.  Our neighbouring country China has progressed by leaps and bounds and its economy is 5 times that of India today.   While countries across Asia are progressing, India’s progress is being hampered by our institutions of democracy, our own Parliament.

Heeding “freedom and fundamental duties” enshrined in our Constitution, many organizations in India have joined hands under the banner ‘Let Parliament Work’. The forum is a civil society group which brings in scientists, doctors lawyers, engineers and professionals from different walks of life. It also includes activists, artists, movie makers, spiritual leaders, entrepreneurs and many eminent personalities from different professions.   An earlier Petition to Members of parliament for smooth functioning of the parliament by India’s industry leaders has received nearly 64,000 signatures.   A video of the situation is available at the website.

“Let Parliament Work” got huge media support which proves that even media is supporting this noble cause.

Problems with Outlook 2013 and IMAP synchronization

As always coming straight to the point this is not a solution to the Outlook 2013 problem. But yes after reading this you may stop wasting your time in finding solutions to it.

So here it goes:

Outlook 2007 – Worked fine,

Outlook 2010 – Fabulous,

Outlook 2013 – Full of bugs

My system is configured as follows:

  • Hardware: Intel Core i3 CPU M 370 @ 2.40GHz, 3.0GB Ram, Intel HD Graphics pre-installed
  • Software: Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit
  • Internet: 2.0 Mbps (Download / Upload)

Before couple of days I installed Outlook 2013 and configured 2 email ids (yahoo & gmail). It was configured easily but then the real problem started. It took ages to get synchronized. I kept my laptop ON for more than 24 hours and still it was synchronizing.

Problems I faced with Outlook 2013

  • Synchronizing folders / Sync Issue (This computer only)
  • Send / Receive emails instantly
  • Non retrieval of emails
  • Search functionality hangs

Outlook 2013 Sync issue

I surfed on internet for hopeful solution and tried all of the follows:

  1. Deleted all my accounts and reconfigured them / recreated profiles
  2. Reinstalled Outlook 2013
  3. Configured email ids one by one
  4. Disabled antivirus and firewall
  5. Uninstalled Windows update (KB3097877)

If you have tried it all then sit back and relax because you have no solution now except using some other email client.

At last I came to the conclusion that the only solution to this problem is with Microsoft. Unless they release any updates this issue can not be solved.

I can not help you to find the solution to this problem but I can surely find you some good alternatives to Outlook 2013. You may use:

  1. Thunderbird
  2. Windows Live Mail
  3. Zimbra Desktop
  4. Claws Mail
  5. eM Client
  6. Pegasus Mail
  7. Mailbird
  8. Inky
  9. and off course Outlook 2007 or 2010

People believe that iPh 5s is better than iPh 6 and when we ask them why, they end up saying “iPh 6 bends easily”. Poor guys, phones are meant to talk and not to test your strength.

One month after PlayStation data breach, Sony hacked again

Sony Corp has been hacked again. So-Net, the Internet service provider unit of Japan’s Sony, alerted customers that an intruder broke into its system and stole virtual points from account holders worth $1,225.

This latest setback comes after personal information of some 100 million Sony user accounts was stolen last month when its online gaming systems, the PlayStation Network and Sony Online Entertainment , were hacked.

“What we’ve done is stopped the So-Net points exchanges and told customers to change their passwords,” So-Net said in a statement to customers on its website in Japanese.

About 100,000 yen ($1,225) was stolen from accounts that were attacked. The company said there was no evidence that other accounts in the online system had been hacked.

“At this point in our investigations, we have not confirmed any data leakage. We have not found any sign of a possibility that a third party has obtained members’ names, address, birth dates and phone numbers.”
